New for 2008 -Super Thursdays!

Our Super Thursdays Extended Limited Capacity trips this year have been great. This is what others may call a Marathon, but this is much more. With 40% fewer anglers than our All Day trip, you are guaranteed more elbow room! You will probably get 50% more fishing time than the All Day trip too! It all adds up to a great day at sea!

And don't forget our popular Tuesday Limited Capacity. We started this in 2007 and has been a great hit ever since. For those who want extra elbow room, but can't devote the extra time of the extended length trips, this is perfect!

Jen Phelan's Prize Cod on Half Day Fishing trip
Whale cod caught on Half Day Trip June 29, 2008!

Whale cod caught on Half Day Trip!
64 1/4 pounds of mammoth Cod! Jen Phelan from Ayer MA, hauled in this great prize on our Half Day Fishing trip! We have had some great fishing this season, and luckily, have not had to travel to the end of the world to get to where we can catch fish. This has been great news for our half day fishing trips. We have had some great trips this year. Mostly, we have been catching Haddock, but on Sunday, Cod fishing was the prize!

These Half day Fishing trips are great for those that may want to take their family fishing, but a full day may be much for the younger ones. These are great fun, especially when there is hope to catch some fish. If you have thought of taking the family fishing, this is a great time!

September 5, 2008 - Fishing Report

Can you believe it is September already! Each season seems to go by faster. Time to take advantage of great Fall fishing. The Cod and Pollock are showing up with some good size, and the Haddock seem to be here every day. Quite a turn from a few years ago. We now take Haddock for granted. We have had some wonderful bait quality this year, and the Haddock catch reflects this. Luckily, the dogfish have been very limited on our All Day trips.

We plan on continuing our Half Day fishing on weekends this Fall, as the fishing has been so good. Consistently catching Haddock and Redfish, it is great fun for the whole family.

Our All Day Fishing trips are running everyday 7-4 and weekends 6-3 & 7-4. Limited Tuesdays trips have 40% fewer people. Our new Super Thursdays have limited capacity and add 3 hours for an exciting day! Half Day Trips - Weekend afternoons, call for departure info. Fall Overnight Trips depart Thursday evenings.

Reservations are suggested so give us a call at 1-800-942-5464.

Crowns Fluke, Jodi Sivak 2008
Whale Sightings Report - August 23, 2008

This may be one of the best whale watch seasons we've ever had! Each day continues to rival the previous days just in number of whales sighted.

I want to start this report with a bird-watcher update. We've seen increasing numbers of Greater Shearwaters and a fair number of Sooty Shearwaters too. We see and HEAR the squawking of Common Terns everyday now, along with Wilsons Storm-petrels that dance on the water picking up their food. Of course, you all know that the Northern Gannets are my favorite and 10 to 12 juveniles gave us an impressive show of dive-bombing for Sand Lance on August 12th!

I have a lot of days to tell you about so I'm going to get right to it ....
